Transferring Contacts
How to Transfer Contacts to Another Device
Upgrading your wireless device? Copy your existing contacts to your new wireless device via your SIM card.
- Before you make the upgrade, open your Address Book on your older device and highlight a contact
- Select Options and you'll see Copy To SIM - you may be asked if you would like to copy all (or multiple) contacts
- You may see a small icon beside a contact name to confirm the info is stored on the SIM card
- Install your SIM in your new device and go to Contacts or ADDRESS BOOK from the main menu
- Select Option and select Copy (Or Import) SIM Contacts
Installing a SIM Card
How to Install the SIM Card
A SIM card (Subscriber Identity Module), is a small white microchip that contains your account information (your phone number, contacts, etc.) and gives your device access to the Rogers Wireless network.
- Most SIM cards are installed behind or beside the battery on your wireless device (when in doubt, check your device's user manual)
- Make sure your device is turned OFF before removing the back cover and battery
- Insert the SIM card into its slot - it might be easy to mistake your device's memory card slot (for songs or photos) for a SIM card slot, but you'll see they're not quite the same shape
- Replace the battery and back cover and power ON your wireless device and you'll be connected to the Rogers Wireless network
REMINDER: Charge your wireless device fully before inserting the SIM card.

Billing FAQs
You may have questions when you read your Rogers bill for the first time. Below are some helpful answers.
Q: Why are there partial and regular charges on my bill?
A: Partial charges appear when you activate a new account or service mid-way through a billing period. Regular charges reflect fees for each full month of service, billed in advance.
Q: When is my bill due?
A: Your bill is due by the "Required Payment Date" noted at the top of each invoice page.
Q: How can I pay my bill?
A: For greater convenience, sign up for both online billing and pre-authorized bill payments. Or, mail in a cheque, make a payment at a bank or visit a Rogers store near you.

Quick tips and ways to save on long distance and roaming
Long Distance and Roaming Explained
Here's some information about where and why long distance and roaming appear on your bill.
Long distance charges include:
- Calls made to numbers outside your local calling area
- Calls made or received while you're outside your local calling area
Roaming charges apply to:
- Calls made outside Canada that are no longer in the Rogers network
- Calling, text messaging, picture/video messaging and data usage (such as email, IM or mobile browsing) outside of Canada will result in roaming charges
Did you know?
- Rogers helps you stay connected in more than 210 destinations around the world
- Unlike long distance calling, there's no additional charge for using data outside your local calling area while in Canada
- If you answer a call or pick up your voicemail while in another country, you will be charged roaming rates
- You can save money while you're travelling by making sure Rogers has voice and/or data coverage in the country you're travelling to
- Be prepared for your travels by checking rates in other countries
