What happens when you enter a new country?
As soon as you leave Canada your device will automatically switch onto one of the wireless network providers in your new destination. You will also receive a welcome message from Rogers with some helpful information.

While you're in Canada, save all numbers in your device's speed dial with "+" [plus sign] "1" area code and 7-digit phone number, for example, +14165551234. By doing this, your calls in Canada will not be affected and when you travel overseas, you can simply dial from your phone's address book and your call will be completed with no additional dialing requirements. Dialing with a "+1" will not affect how you are charged for local calls.

Voicemail
Press and hold 1 (as your normally would) to access voicemail. You may be asked to enter your wireless phone number before your password. Use all 10 digits of your phone number if you are asked.
Call Display
In the United States, Call Display should work normally.
Call Display is not guaranteed to work while roaming internationally. Availability is dependent upon the international network on which you are roaming.
Blocked Call Display
Partner networks need to be able to identify your wireless phone on their network. If you've blocked your wireless number from displaying for outgoing calls by using #31# or setting the feature in another way on your phone, you MUST cancel this feature before travelling. If you need to have your number blocked while roaming, please call us and we'll set this feature for a nominal fee. This will ensure your phone will work properly while blocking your number on outgoing calls during your travels.
Text Messaging1
You can receive text messages from home and you can send messages to a text messaging-enabled wireless device on the Rogers Wireless network and other North American networks. Sending a message to a non-North American phone is available to most countries and networks.
To send a text message while roaming in the U.S., enter your recipient's Canadian or U.S. area code and 7-digit wireless phone number.
To send a text message while roaming overseas, enter "+" along with your recipient's country code, area code and 7-digit wireless phone number
While roaming, text messages are 75¢ per message sent2.
Received text messages while roaming are 15¢. Received text messages are free with subscription to a Domestic or International Text messaging plan.2

DATA USAGE ON SMARTPHONES
In the United States:
- You can use applications that use data from your Web-enabled wireless device.
- For customers who have domestic Data Plans, data roaming in the U.S., Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands is $0.006 per KB, or approximately $6 per MB.
- If you subscribe to a Flex Rate domestic data plan, the U. S. data roaming is only $0.003 per KB, or approximately $3 per MB.

iPhone devices are preset to turn wireless data roaming off while travelling outside Canada. To turn data on while roaming, click on Network and then beside data roaming select ON.
If you have Visual Voicemail for your iPhone, this feature uses data and will also be turned off when you roam unless you turn Data Roaming on. If you turn Data Roaming on, you will incur data charges for Visual Voicemails sent to your device (whether you listen to your messages or not) while travelling outside Canada. Alternatively, you can access your voicemail while roaming by pressing and holding 1 on your iPhone and entering your password (the default password if you have not yet set up your voicemail service is the last 4 digits of your wireless phone number)

ROAMING TO JAPAN AND KOREA
If travelling to Korea and Japan, only Rogers devices that support 3G/HSPA at the 2100 MHz frequency you will allow for automatic roaming in Korea and Japan. Some of the more popular devices that fall into this category are:
