Connect your device to your Wi-Fi modem.

Open a web browser and enter 192.168.0.1 in the address bar and press Enter.
Enter the following default settings to access the modem settings and select Login:
- Username: cusadmin
- Password: password

Select Wireless from the menu at the top of the page.
Then select the Basic Settings tab.
For your dual-band Wi-Fi modem there are 2 Wi-Fi networks to set up (2.4GHz and 5GHz).
2.4G is already selected. Start there.

Name your Wi-Fi Network - 2.4GHz
In the Multiple SSID Settings section on the right, enter your desired Network Name (SSID).
- When you want to connect a device to your Wi-Fi, this is the name that will display where you check for available Wi-Fi networks.
Leave all the other settings on this screen as they are.
Select Save Changes.
Now you're ready to set up the 5GHz network with very similar steps. Dual-band support helps maximize your Wi-Fi signal strength and speed for multiple devices. While the 2.4GHz network band offers great signal range and speed ideal for web browsing, the 5GHz network band offers faster speed ideal for video streaming when you're closer to your Wi-Fi modem.

Name your Wi-Fi Network - 5GHz
If you're setting up without an Ethernet cable, choose the new network name you just set from the available wireless networks and refresh your web browser. Otherwise, you're good to go.
In the Multiple SSID Settings section on the right, enter your desired Network Name (SSID).
- When you want to connect a device to your Wi-Fi, this is the name that will display where you check for available Wi-Fi networks.
- We recommend using the same name as you used for the 2.4GHz network but adding "-5G" to the end). For example:
- 2.4G: ROGERSWiFi
- 5G: ROGERSWiFi-5G
Leave all the other settings on this screen as they are.
Select Save Changes.

Set your Wi-Fi Password(s)
Remember to make your password unique and hard to guess. Don't reuse passwords or choose obvious words. We recommend using at least 12 characters, with upper and lower-case letters, as well as numbers and symbols.
In Security Settings on the right, enter your desired Wi-Fi password in the Password field.
Select the 5GHz network name (scroll down if you need to) and repeat the same steps.
- You can set the same Wi-Fi password for both network bands if you prefer. Easier to remember!
Leave all the other settings on this screen as they are.
Select Save Changes.
Now you're all set!
- If you've connected to your modem wirelessly, your modem will disconnect to complete the set-up process.
- If you connected to your modem using an Ethernet cable, unplug it now.
Go to your device's Wi-Fi settings and connect using the new network name(s) and password(s) you set up. Once you're online, check at least 2 different websites to make sure your Wi-Fi is working properly.
Don't forget to update the settings for your other devices to connect to your new Wi-Fi network. Write down your Wi-Fi name and password and keep it in a safe place. If you need to access your Wi-Fi modem's settings again in the future, your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi password replaces the default password.
Did you run into issues?
If you can't connect to your Wi-Fi modem or log in to access its settings, you can reset the modem to its factory default settings, which will restore its original network name(s) and password(s). For more on resetting your modem read these helpful steps.
