Unable to leave voicemail messages on your IBLc phone

There could be a few different reasons why callers are unable to leave voicemail messages on your phone, including: inside wiring issues, inactive voicemail, eMTA stall, provisioning/network issues, customer owned equipment issues, uninitialized features.

If callers are unable to leave voicemail messages on your line, then follow these steps:

1. Check if your voicemail has been set up correctly.
2. Make sure your Call Forwarding is not enabled, as voicemail will not work if call forwarding is activated.
   1. To deactivate call forwarding, enter *73.
3. Ensure your voicemail is turned on by entering *92.
4. Shorten the number of rings before voicemail picks up.
5. Ensure there are no fax machines or external answering machines (often built into phones) active that could intercept calls before they go to voicemail.
6. Consult the manufacturer of the device for more information.
