Port forwarding set up instructions for your Rogers Business Internet

These instructions show you how to set up port forwarding on business internet connections that support this capability.

Port forwarding lets you configure your router so devices on your network like computers, security cameras, game consoles, or point-of-sale terminals can be accessed from outside your local network. It works by using an IP address and port number to route network requests to a specific device.

If you're using a Rogers Business modem, follow these steps to set up port forwarding:

1. Access your router

  1. Open a web browser and enter the router’s IP address: 192.168.0.1
  2. Log in with the default credentials:

  • Username: cusadmin
  • Password: password

If you've changed these before, use your Wi-Fi password instead.

2. Go to Port Forwarding

  1. From the Status page, select Basic from the top menu bar.
  2. Choose Port Forwarding.

3. Add a Port Forwarding Rule

  1. Select Add Rule.
  2. Enter a name for the rule (like DVR, PS4, or POS).
  3. Choose the protocol: TCP/UDP.
  4. Enter the port number(s) in both Public Port Range and Private Port Range.
  5. Enter the local IP address of the device that needs access (e.g., 192.168.0.X).
  6. For Remote IP Address, select Any.
  7. Set Rule Status to ON.
  8. Select Apply.

4. Enable All Port Forwarding Rules

  • Make sure All Port Forwarding Rules is set to Enabled.

5. Save your changes

  • Select Save Changes to complete the setup.
