Allow calls from only your friends and family on Rogers Home Phone

The following steps explain how to allow calls from only friends and family using Home & Away Online Manager for Rogers Home Phone.

Once enabled, only callers on your Friends and Family list will ring through. All other callers will receive a message stating that you are not accepting calls from their number at this time.

Note: If you do not have Home & Away Online Manager, you can enable this feature using star codes on your home phone. Visit this article to learn more.

Step 1: Opening Home & Away Online Manager

  1. Sign in to your MyRogers account.
    • If you're having problems signing in, you can recover your MyRogers username or password.
  2. Select Usage & Services.
  3. Select the Home Phone number you are looking to manage.
  4. Select Configure your current features. You are now on the Home & Away Online Manager home page.

 

Step 2: Creating your Friends and Family list

To enable this feature, you first must have at least one phone number in your Friends and Family list.

  1. Select the Contacts tab.
  2. Select Add a New Contact.
  3. Enter a Name for the contact.
  4. Choose Yes or No for Is this a long distance number?
  5. Enter the contact’s phone number.
  6. Choose the Type (Home, Work, Mobile or Other).
  7. Under Add this contact to any of the lists below, check Privacy List.
  8. Select Save Changes.

 

If you want to add more contacts to your list, repeat these steps starting from Step 2.

Step 3: Enabling the feature

  1. Select the Privacy tab.
  2. To the right of Allow Calls From My Friends & Family, select Configure.
  3. Select Confirm.

How to deactivate the feature

  1. Select the Privacy tab.
  2. To the right of Everyone Can Call Me, select Configure.
  3. Select Confirm.
