Clear Android app cache and data

When trying to fix a problem with a Rogers or third party app, you may need to clear the app cache or app data to resolve the issue. These steps will help you do this for most Android devices.

Note: Always try clearing the app cache first as this will not delete your user settings. Only clear the app data when clearing the cache does not resolve the issue, or if you want to delete all cache and user settings for the app.

Clear app cache

  1. Open your device's Settings.
  2. Tap Apps & notifications or Apps for some Androids.
  3. Tap the app. (If you don't see the app listed, tap See all apps or App info.)
  4. Tap Storage.
  5. Tap Clear cache. (If you don't see "Clear cache", tap Manage space.
