Having their network infrastructure in a Rogers data centre is a “load off” for Canada’s largest distributor of maintenance, repair and operational supplies.

In late 2015, Acklands-Grainger centralized and globalized much of its IT operations in the U.S. to accommodate a major shift to online sales. Part of this process meant decommissioning a significant amount of on-premises infrastructure hardware in Canada, which resided in the company’s Canadian headquarters in Richmond Hill, Ont. Once the company decided to move its head offices to Thornhill, Ont., John Tzanopoulos, Senior IT Manager, had to move the remaining infrastructure they would still be using to a new location―and fast.
