How to use Samsung Galaxy Note8's Smart View feature

Share your screen with a roomful of clients or team members with just a few taps

Combined with a TV and/or the proper accessory*, a Samsung Galaxy Note8 can become a presenter's best friend. With just a few taps, you can use the Note8’s Smart View feature to begin sharing sketches as you draw them, playing demonstration videos, and running slide shows for an entire roomful of people to watch. Here's how to do it.

1. Ensure your TV supports* Smart View and that it is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your phone.

2. Open the Quick Settings panel on your Galaxy Note8 by using two fingers to swipe down from the top of the screen. Swipe once to the left to view the second panel.

3. Tap Smart View. If there's just one available TV screen on the network, the connection should be automatic. If there is more than one TV screen on the network, you may need to select the proper device. You may also need to enter a passcode for the TV, depending on how the screen is configured.

4. That's all there is to it! You're now sharing your Galaxy Note8's screen with everyone in the room. When your presentation is over, just tap Disconnect.

[*A Samsung Smart TV will work, but so will Miracast devices, including Chromecast and Amazon Fire TV Stick.]
