How to record calls on your iPhone X

Capture incoming and outgoing calls with the help of an app

Recording calls can be a useful means of tracking what colleagues and clients say during phone conversations. There are no built-in call recording features on your iPhone X, but third-party apps – such as a TapeACall Pro, which facilitates unlimited outgoing and incoming call recording – can easily capture what you need.

Just remember: as a matter of courtesy, it's always a good idea to let the person you're speaking with know if you do decide to record the call.

1. Download and install TapeACall Pro from the App Store. Choose and pay for either a monthly or annual subscription.

2. During any call, tap TapeACall Pro's “record” button. Then, on the active call screen, tap merge call to begin recording. Simply hang up to stop recording.

3. To listen to a recording, launch the TapeACall app, scroll through recorded files and tap to begin playback. There’s no limit to the number of calls you can record, and all recordings can be given custom labels.
