Manage your Rogers WiFi password and network name

Learn how to find, share and change your WiFi password and network name using the Rogers Xfinity app or your modem's admin console.

Manage your WiFi using the Rogers Xfinity app

The Rogers Xfinity app is the easiest way to manage your home network settings. To start, sign in to the app with your MyRogers or MyRogers (Shaw) username and password. Then, go to the WiFi tab and select WiFi details.

Find your WiFi password

Select the eye icon next to your password to reveal it.

Change your WiFi password and network name

  1. Select Edit WiFi settings.
  2. Update your WiFi network name and password to your preference.
  3. Save your changes.

Share your WiFi password

A QR code will appear on your screen. You can scan this code or share it directly. You can also share your WiFi password by email or text message. Please note that your password will be visible in the message if you choose this method.

Manage your WiFi network name from your modem

If you use an older Rogers modem, you can manage your WiFi settings through the modem's admin console using a web browser. You may need to connect your computer directly to the modem with an Ethernet cable before making changes.

For all modems below, enter 192.168.0.1 into your web browser's address bar and sign in using the username "cusadmin" and the password printed on your modem's sticker.

Arris Surfboard WiFi modem (SBG6782)

Your modem password is typically a 9-digit number starting with the number 2.

  1. In the Quick Start Wizard, select Manage WiFi Network.
  2. If you're updating your 5 GHz network, select the 5 GHz tab.
  3. Enter your new WiFi network name next to Network Name (SSID).
  4. Apply your changes.

Cisco WiFi modem

  1. Select Setup.
  2. Select the Quick Setup tab.
  3. Enter your new name in the field next to Wireless Network Name (SSID).
  4. Save Settings.

SMC WiFi modem

Your modem password is case-sensitive.

  1. Select Wireless.
  2. Enter your new name in the field next to Primary SSID (maximum of 32 characters).
  3. Apply your changes.
