How To: Add a device to Rogers WiFi Hotspots

Rogers WiFi Hotspots (formerly known as Shaw Go WiFi) allows you to stay connected no matter where you are with access to Canada's largest WiFi network with hundreds of thousands of hotspots available across Western Canada. Available to Mobile and Internet customers.

Once you register a device manually, it will automatically connect every time you enter a hotspot.

How to add a device to Rogers WiFi Hotspots

You can add a device to Rogers WiFi Hotspots when at any Rogers WiFi Hotspot location. 

Apple device using iOS 8 or newer

  1. Pre-register your device by filling out the Get Started page.
  2. Visit your nearest hotspot and connect automatically.

Connecting Android and all other Devices

  1. Visit your nearest hotspot.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Select Wi-Fi.
  4. Select RogersOpen from the available networks.
  5. Complete your registration by signing in with your Username (formerly Shaw ID).

Once connected, your device will connect to the network next time you are within range of a hotspot.

Note: You will need your Username (formerly Shaw ID) to register your device as a Internet customer. Learn more about How to: Create a Username (formerly Shaw ID).

Rogers WiFi Hotspots device allowance

The number of devices that you can connect automatically is determined by your Internet plan. Visit MyRogers (Shaw) to view your device limits and manage your Rogers WiFi Hotspots devices.

Connecting as a Guest

Guests can register a device for a seven-day complimentary trial at any RogersOpen network, with the option to sign-up again after your trial period.
