Set up and use your Rogers Xfinity Voice Remote

Learn how to pair and use your Rogers Xfinity Voice Remote with your set-top box, Rogers Streaming, your TV, and other devices like sound bars or audio receivers. After pairing, you can change channels, use voice commands, search for shows, and control connected devices.

Get ready to set up your remote

  • Turn on your TV and any audio devices.
  • Check your batteries. If the LED doesn’t light up when you press a button, replace them.
  • Test voice commands: press the Mic button and say Settings or Help.
    • If a menu appears, your remote is ready to program for TV/audio control.
    • If nothing happens, you’ll need to pair it first.

Pair your Rogers Xfinity Voice Remote with your Rogers Xfinity set-top box

Your pairing steps depend on which remote model you have.

XR100 Voice Remote

You can pair the XR100 using the Mic button or through the Connected devices menu.

Mic button pairing

  1. Press the Mic button.
  2. Wait for the remote to connect.
  3. Select Continue when prompted.

Pairing your Connected devices

  1. On your settop box, go to Settings.
  2. Select Connected devices.
  3. Select Remote.
  4. Press and hold 1 and 3 for 3 seconds.
  5. Wait for your remote to connect, then select Continue.
  6. Follow the on‑screen prompts to set up TV or audio device control.

XR11 Voice Remote

  1. Press and hold the Setup button until the LED changes from red to green.
  2. Press the Rogers or Shaw button.
  3. Wait for the TV to display a 3‑digit pairing code.
  4. Enter the code to complete pairing.
  5. When asked if you want to control your TV using the remote, select Not now (you can set this up later).

XR15 Voice Remote

  1. Press and hold the Rogers or Shaw and Info (i) buttons at the same time for 5 seconds.
  2. Release when the LED changes from red to green.
  3. Enter the 3‑digit on‑screen pairing code.
  4. When you’re asked if you want to control your TV using the remote, continue with the flow or select Not now (you can set this up later).

Pair your remote to control your TV or other devices

You can program your remote to control your TV, sound bar, or audio receiver.

Using the settings menu

  1. Press the A button on your remote to open the settings menu.
  2. Select Remote Setup.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to pair with your TV, sound bar, or audio device.

Using the manual method

  1. Turn on your TV, sound bar, or audio device.
  2. Press and hold the Rogers or Shaw and Info (i) buttons for 5 seconds until the LED turns green.
  3. Enter 9‑9‑1.
  4. The LED will flash green twice.
  5. Press CH+ repeatedly until the device turns off.
  6. Press the Select button to confirm.

Use voice commands

With your remote paired, you can:

  • change channels.
  • search for shows, apps, or channels.
  • open menus and settings.
  • use voice commands from another room (XR100).

Just press the Mic button and say a command.

Unpair your remote

If you need to reset or re‑pair your remote:

  1. Press and hold the Setup button until the LED changes from red to green.
  2. Enter 9‑8‑1.
  3. The LED will flash to confirm the reset.

You can now pair your remote again.
