Just changed from an Apple device and can’t receive messages from iOS users? This can happen if your number is still linked to your Apple ID and iMessage. To fix this, do one or both of the following.

If you still have your old device, the quickest solution is to turn off iMessage:

- Tap Settings.
- Tap Messages.
- Toggle to turn off iMessage.
- Go back to Settings.
- Tap FaceTime.
- Toggle to turn off FaceTime.
If you no longer have the device or no longer intend to use it, you can disable iMessage online:
- Go to the Deregister iMessage page.
- Scroll down to No longer have your iPhone? and enter your phone number in the Phone Number field. You will be sent a text message with a confirmation code.
When you receive the text message, enter the confirmation code and click Submit.
