Create A New Profile On A Sierra Wireless AC313U

The following steps explain how to create a new profile on a Sierra Wireless 313U.

1. In 3G Watcher click the Settings icon.
2. Click Profiles on the left hand side. 
   • You can also click the Menu drop down and click Connections.
3. Click the Add New button and select WWAN profile.
4. Enter the following:
   • Profile Name: A description of the profile (i.e. the name of your service provider).
   • User Name: If required, the username of the APN.
   • Password: If required, the password of the APN.
   • APN: Access Point Name.
     • If you want to use a pre-defined profile, in the Profile Name field, select the profile from the drop-down list.
   • Connection Type: Prompt, Autoconnect or manual connection.
     • Autoconnect: A connection is established automatically whenever you insert the AirCard. 
     • Manual Connect: You must select the Connect button on the main Watcher window to make a connection. 
     • Prompt: you must select Connect and enter a password to make a connection. 
5. Click Apply.
6. Click OK.
