Set Up Emails to a BlackBerry with the BIS Client Site

The following outlines how to set up emails to a BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) account with the BIS client site.

Requirements

  • A BlackBerry smartphone with BlackBerry OS 7.x or prior
  • A BIS compatible data plan
  • A computer with active internet connection
  1. Navigate to the BIS client website at https://rogers.blackberry.com/.
  2. Input BIS User name and Password, and then click Log In.
  3. Click Set Up Email or Set Up Another Email Account.
  4. Input your Email address and Email password, then click Next.
    • BIS server will attempt to identify and configure your incoming and outgoing email settings automatically.
    • Customers may be required to manually input the email settings if the BIS server fails to detect the server information.
  5. If your email account supports sync options, you will be given an option to select the content to sync. Place a checkmark for the content you want to sync and click Next.
    • If your email account does not have sync options, click Finish or Add Another Account.
  6. A Security Activation Required prompt will appear, follow the onscreen instructions then click OK.
