Services for hearing support
Text with 9-1-1 (T9-1-1)
Text with 9-1-1 (T9-1-1) lets you communicate with an emergency 9-1-1 operator via text message. Keep in mind, you must be registered to use this service. Register now.
Message Relay Service
Message Relay Service (MRS) helps you communicate through a standard phone line with a relay operator via teletypewriter (TTY) . MRS support both voice carry over (VCO) and hearing carry over (HCO) calls.
The following phone numbers support teletypewriter (TTY) devices to communicate through a relay operator:
- 1 800 855-0511 (Voice to TTY)
- 711 (TTY to Voice)
- 1 800 855-1155 (TTY to TTY)
IP Relay Service
IP Relay allows you to place and receive text-based relay calls through the internet with your computer or mobile device. For more information on using IP Relay, visit How to use IP Relay Service.
Register for IP Relay
To register for IP Relay:
1.Visit the IP Relay registration page for your region.
- For Rogers customers, register at rogers.com/accessibility/ip-relay-registration.
- For Rogers together with Shaw customers, register at iprelay.shaw.ca/register.
2.Complete the registration form by entering information in the appropriate fields.
Access IP Relay
To access IP Relay:
1.Access the IP Relay service for your region:
- For Rogers customers, sign in at iprelayservice.net/login.
- For Rogers together with Shaw customers, sign in at iprelay.shaw.ca/login.
2. On the login page, enter your access number and password and select Log in.
You can also access IP Relay via the mobile app. Rogers customers can download the IP Relay Canada mobile app from Google Play or the App Store. Rogers together with Shaw customers can download the Shaw IP Relay mobile app from Google Play or the App Store.
Video Relay Service
Video Relay Service (VRS) is a free service provided by SRV Canada VRS. VRS helps people who use sign language to communicate with voice telephone users. VRS callers are connected by video with a sign language interpreter who provides real-time interpretation for telephone calls.

Rogers wireless customers using VRS over the network within Canada have unlimited access to VRS.
