With this, users can use a single business phone number in Microsoft Teams across both their mobile service and desk lines, and seamlessly transition between networks and devices. Teams Phone Mobile is as simple to set up as Operator Connect is today. Simply start with contacting our sales team who can assist you in assessing your current Teams infrastructure and support readiness. They can help identify customer tenant ID and ensure your emergency addresses in Teams are set and we take care of number provisioning. Once complete, customers can edit the number inside the Teams Admin Center and assign it to a correctly licensed user.

Rogers Business is the only Canadian provider to offer Teams Phone Mobile and we will support any issues related to PSTN calling via both Teams and your mobile devices.

It’s the same as Operator Connect which requires a paid Enterprise license combined with a paid Teams phone standard license. There is an additional free add on Teams Phone Mobile license that is already required.

In terms of plans, all Rogers corporate paid plans are eligible for the service. Please note: Android, IoS devices required for Teams integration.

Operator Connect is one of three options available for enabling external calling via Microsoft Teams, alongside Direct Routing and Microsoft Calling Plans. It allows you to provision your voice services directly within the Teams Admin Center. Using 1:1 network connectivity with Microsoft Azure, Operator Connect enables secure connections along with a high quality of service and reliability while minimizing the need for complex configuration.

Operator Connect can be used in conjunction with Direct Routing, Calling Plans, or both.

For example, if you are looking to integrate legacy infrastructure or a complex custom routing policy, while also wanting to simplify and enhance the collaboration capabilities of standard voice users - then you would want to have both Direct Routing and Operator Connect.

Additionally, the functionality and features of Operator Connect keeps growing and you can easily migrate from Direct Routing once the features you need are available.
