Connecting via satellite
When in satellite coverage areas, your phone connects to a satellite automatically. When connected, you’ll find an icon next to your signal bar.
Satellites are always on the move, so your phone may disconnect and reconnect to the next available one.
No setup needed
Just text like you normally would and satellites will take care of the rest.
Messages may take a little longer than usual to send via satellite, but your phone will keep trying to send them, even while you’re off exploring.
Getting the best service
No need to point your phone to the sky. A clear, unobstructed view of the sky will get you the best signal.
You may get some interruptions in areas with obstructions - like forests, canyons or valleys.
