Rogers Xfinity Smart Door Lock (Weiser) system alerts

Find simple solutions to resolve your smart door lock’s system alerts.

An incorrect code was entered into your smart door lock

If the numbers on your door lock appear in an “X” pattern and flash once with 1 beep, it means an incorrect code was entered. The beeping sound will only be heard if switch 3, located on the inside of your smart door lock, is on. Enter the correct code.

Programming errors on your smart door lock

If the numbers on your door lock appear in an “X” pattern and flash 3 times and beep 3 times, there are 3 reasons why this might be happening:

  • A user code was not programmed. You need to program at least one user code.
  • The programming timed out after 20 seconds or the programming was unsuccessful. Try programming again.

Too many incorrect codes were entered

If the numbers on your door lock appear in an “X” pattern and flash 15 times and beep 15 times, it means 3 incorrect codes were entered within 1 minute. Enter the correct code after the 60 second lockout period.

Your smart door lock’s battery level is low

If a checkmark and lock symbol flash together 5 times with a long continuous beep, it means your door lock’s battery is low.

You can check your battery level in the Rogers Xfinity app:

  1. Select the Home tab.
  2. Select Door lock.
  3. Select support-internet-webmail-settings-gear-rogers.
  4. Review your Battery level. If your battery level is Low or Fair, you need to replace your batteries.

After the first low battery alert, you have about 30 to 60 days worth of battery life left. If the batteries have drained completely, you’ll see a red LED light. You need to replace your batteries.

Your door jammed while locking

If you receive a notification in the Rogers Xfinity app or see a checkmark and lock symbol alternate flashing 5 times with a long continuous beep on your smart door lock, there are a few reasons why this might be happening:

  1. The deadbolt and latch strike aren’t lined up. Adjust the strike in your door frame.
  2. The door lock didn’t learn the position of your door. Follow the Manual door handing your door lock steps.

Interior assembly disconnected from exterior assembly

If your smart door lock beeps continuously, it means the interior assembly has disconnected from the exterior assembly.

  1. Remove the battery pack.
  2. Reconnect the interior cable to the exterior cable.
  3. Put the battery pack back in.
