Manage your Rogers Xfinity Gateway 

Your Rogers Xfinity Gateway is the modem that connects your home to the internet. You can manage most settings using the Rogers Xfinity app or by signing in directly to the gateway when needed. 

What you can do with your Rogers Xfinity Gateway

  • Set up your gateway and connect to the internet. 
  • Change your WiFi name and password. 
  • Sign in to update your admin password. 
  • Restart your gateway if your connection feels slow or unstable. 
  • Factory reset your gateway if you need a full reset. 

Set up your Rogers Xfinity Gateway

  2. Sign in with your MyRogers or MyRogers (Shaw) username and password.
  3. Follow the onscreen steps to complete setup and connect your devices.

Change your WiFi name or password

  1. Open the Rogers Xfinity app. 
  2. Select Connect
  3. Select See Network
  4. Select the Edit icon. 
  5. Update your WiFi name or password. 
  6. Apply your changes. 

You’ve successfully changed your name and password, and you can now connect your devices using your new WiFi credentials. 

Sign in to your gateway using a web browser 

Some settings, such as the admin password, require signing in directly to the gateway. Your Rogers Xfinity admin password is the unique code printed on the bottom of your gateway. 

Before you start, make sure your device is connected to your home WiFi. 

  1. Open a web browser. 
  2. Enter https://10.0.0.1 in the address bar. 
  3. If a security message appears, choose the option to continue. 
  4. Sign in using:
    • Username: admin 
    • Admin password: found on the label on the bottom of your gateway. 

If this is your first time signing in, you’ll be prompted to create a new admin password. 

Change your Rogers Xfinity Gateway admin password

Your Rogers Xfinity admin password is the unique code printed on the bottom of your gateway. To change your admin password:  

  1. Sign in to your Rogers Xfinity Gateway. 
  2. Select Troubleshooting
  3. Select Change Password
  4. Enter your new password. Use a password that's easy for you to remember and hard for others to guess. 
  5. Save your changes. 

Restart your Rogers Xfinity Gateway

Restarting your gateway can help resolve many common internet issues. 

  1. Open the Rogers Xfinity app. 
  2. Scroll to Restart Gateway
  3. Confirm the restart. 

The gateway may take several minutes to reconnect. During this time, internet access will be unavailable. 

Factory reset your gateway 

A factory reset removes all custom settings, including your WiFi name and password. Use this option only when necessary. 

  1. Sign in to your gateway at https://10.0.0.1. 
  2. Select Troubleshooting, then Reset/Restore Gateway
  3. Select Restore Factory Settings

After the reset, you’ll need to set up your gateway again using the Rogers Xfinity app.
