Keep your Rogers Yahoo! Mail active and keep your email content

If you use Rogers Yahoo! Mail, your account is subject to Yahoo’s terms of service, community guidelines and policies. This includes policies about keeping your account active to avoid losing email contents.

If your email account is inactive (i.e., no activity such as signing in, sending emails or checking your inbox) for 12 months or more, it will stop receiving emails. All account contents will be permanently deleted.

This includes:

  • Emails
  • Contacts
  • Attachments
  • Calendar details
  • Settings

Once deleted, this information can’t be recovered.

Why's my email content being deleted?

If you don't use your Rogers Yahoo! Mail account for 12 months or more, Yahoo will delete all your mailbox contents in accordance with their inactive mailbox policy.

Will I lose my email address?

Your Rogers Yahoo! email address is not deleted. However, all contents — such as emails, contacts, attachments, calendar details, and settings—will be permanently deleted if the account is inactive for 12 months or more.

How do I access my Rogers Yahoo! email and find all my email addresses?

To sign in and review settings for your Rogers Yahoo! Mail accounts — including viewing all associated email addresses — visit the Rogers Member Centre and sign in using your primary email address.

If I sign in to one of my inactive email accounts, will this keep all of my Rogers Yahoo! email accounts active?

  • No. If you sign in for one email account, only that email account will be considered active.
  • To keep active other Rogers Yahoo! email accounts, you need to sign into each email account.

How do I reactivate my account?

Sign in to the email address you want to reactivate to start receiving again.

Note: Reactivating won’t restore deleted content.

What should I do if I forgot my password?

  1. On the sign-in screen, select Forgot Password.
  2. If you're unable to reset your password or no longer have access to the phone number linked to your account, please contact Rogers Technical Support.
    • You’ll need a Canadian mobile phone number to set up multi-factor authentication for added security.

If the reset link is sent to a phone number you can no longer access, Rogers Technical Support can help you update your recovery number and reset your password.

I don’t have a recovery phone number?

You need a Canadian mobile number to set up multi-factor authentication for your Rogers Yahoo! Mail. You can visit the Rogers Member Centre to add one to your account.
