Easy Setup Guide - Rogers Xfinity set-top box

To set up your Rogers Xfinity set-top box you'll need to make sure your Rogers Xfinity or Rogers 5G Home Internet Gateways are set up and online.

1. Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI port located at the back of the Rogers Xfinity set-top box, and connect the other end to the HDMI port at the back of your TV.
2. Connect the power adaptor provided to the Rogers Xfinity set-top box and then plug in to an electrical outlet.
3. Turn on your TV and select the same HDMI input connected to your Rogers Xfinity set-top box.
4. Remove the “Pull” tab on the back of the  Rogers Xfinity Voice Remote.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to continue customizing your Rogers Xfinity or Streaming settings and to pair your Rogers Xfinity Voice Remote.

Using WPS to pair your set top box with your Rogers Xfinity or Rogers 5G Home Internet Gateways

1. Press the WPS button on the bottom edge of your Rogers Xfinity set-top box.
2. Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button. Depending on which Rogers Xfinity and Rogers 5G Home Internet Gateways you have: 
   

   • Gen 1: Press the WPS button located on the top edge of your gateway.
   • Gen 2 and Gen 3: Press the WPS button located on the back of your gateway.
   • 5G Home Internet Gateway: Press the WPS button located on the back of your gateway.
     
3. Setup will continue automatically after pairing is complete.

To prevent signal degradation and interference, use the provided terminating caps on all unused coax splitter and cable wall outlets.

With the Rogers Xfinity Stream app, you can watch your favourites anywhere, anytime.

1. Download the Rogers Xfinity Stream app to your mobile device from the App Store or Google Play Store.  

2. Make sure you’re registered for MyRogers or MyRogers (Shaw). This is required for App Sign In.
