Subscription Terms – Third-Party Streaming Apps

The following FAQs are terms and conditions (“Terms”) which apply to your subscription to certain third-party streaming apps (“Streaming Apps”) available through Rogers as of August 27th, 2025.

These Terms supplement the Rogers/Shaw Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy and Privacy Policy available at rogers.com/terms, and form part of your agreement with Rogers.

Your use of the Streaming Apps is also subject to any applicable terms and conditions of the Streaming App providers and are agreements between you and them. Those terms and conditions are available at their respective web sites. Please ensure you read and understand those terms and conditions before subscribing to the Streaming Apps through Rogers.

1. Streaming App Subscriptions through Rogers

How do I subscribe to and manage my third-party Streaming Apps through Rogers?

  • When subscribing to Rogers services, you may also choose to subscribe to third-party Streaming Apps such as Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV, Hayu, or Sportsnet+ through Rogers (as available). The Streaming Apps may be provided as individual or bundled add-ons, or as part of a Rogers Xfinity TV or Xfinity Streaming package.
  • Existing Rogers customers can manage their subscriptions via the Subscriptions page in their MyRogers account.

2. Activating Streaming App Subscriptions

How do I activate my Streaming App subscriptions through Rogers?

  • Within 24–48 hours of subscription, you will receive an activation email from Rogers.
  • Read the email carefully and follow the link to your MyRogers account and complete activation via the Subscriptions page.

3. Existing Subscriptions to the Streaming Apps and Pausing Existing Billing

What if I already have a subscription to one or more of the Streaming Apps?

Please see as follows for details on how to manage any existing subscriptions to the Streaming Apps to ensure that you can properly pause your billing for your existing subscriptions. Your existing profiles and settings will be maintained.

If you later cancel your Rogers subscription to a Streaming App, any paused billing of your existing monthly subscriptions (or paused existing annual subscriptions with Disney+, if applicable) will automatically resume directly with the Streaming App provider, assuming you did not cancel your subscription with them and assuming that your payment method on file with them is up to date.

Netflix

  • Simply use your existing Netflix credentials during activation of your Netflix subscription through Rogers. Billing for your subscription with Netflix will pause once your subscription is activated through Rogers using your existing Netflix credentials. Once you activate, your subscription tier through Rogers will supersede your existing Netflix subscription tier (tier upgrade add-ons are available as described below).
  • Your Netflix profile will not be cancelled and will be maintained with Netflix.

Disney+

  • If your existing monthly or annual Disney+ subscription tier is the same or lower than your subscription tier through Rogers, billing for your monthly subscription with Disney+ will pause once your subscription is activated through Rogers using your existing Disney+ credentials (or in the case of an existing annual Disney+ subscription of the same or lower tier, that annual subscription with Disney+ will pause).
  • If your existing monthly or annual Disney+ subscription tier is higher than your subscription tier through Rogers, you will continue to be billed for both your monthly subscription with Disney+ and your subscription through Rogers, even if you activate through Rogers using your existing Disney+ credentials (or in the case of an existing annual Disney+ subscription of a higher tier, that annual subscription with Disney+ will continue to run). If you upgrade your monthly subscription tier through Rogers to the same or higher tier than your existing Disney+ subscription (and activate it using your existing Disney+ credentials), billing for your monthly subscription with Disney+ will pause (or, if applicable, your existing annual Disney+ subscription will pause). Otherwise, you must cancel your existing monthly subscription with Disney+ to avoid being billed for both monthly subscriptions.

  • Your Disney+ profile will not be cancelled and will be maintained with Disney+.

Apple TV

  • Simply use your existing Apple TV credentials during activation of your Apple TV subscription through Rogers. Billing for your subscription with Apple TV will pause once your subscription is activated through Rogers using your existing Apple TV credentials. Once you activate, your subscription tier through Rogers will supersede your existing Apple TV subscription.
  • Your Apple TV profile will not be cancelled and will be maintained with Apple TV

Sportsnet+

  • You will continue to be billed for both your subscription with Sportsnet+ and your subscription through Rogers, even if you activate through Rogers using your existing Sportsnet+ credentials. You must cancel your subscription with Sportsnet+ before activating through Rogers to avoid being billed for both subscriptions.
  • Your Sportsnet+ profile will not be cancelled and will be maintained with Sportsnet+.

Hayu

  • You will continue to be billed for both your subscription with Hayu and your subscription through Rogers, even if you activate through Rogers using your existing Hayu credentials. You must cancel your subscription with Hayu before activating through Rogers to avoid being billed for both subscriptions.
  • Your Hayu profile will not be cancelled and will be maintained with Hayu

4. Incorrect Account Linking

What should I do if I accidentally linked the wrong existing Streaming App account?

  • To correct a linked account, go to the Subscriptions tab in MyRogers, select Manage, and unlink the incorrect account.
  • Reinitiate the activation process with the correct existing credentials or contact Rogers support at 1-888-764-3771 for assistance.

5. Upgrading Subscription Tiers

Am I able to upgrade to a higher tier for my Streaming Apps?

  • Currently, upgrades for Netflix, Disney+, and Sportsnet+ may be available for an additional monthly fee.
  • Changes can be made via the Subscriptions tab in MyRogers or by contacting Rogers support at 1-888-764-3771 for assistance.
  • Tier upgrade add-ons will appear as separate line items on your Rogers bill.
  • Upgrades for other Streaming Apps may be offered as they become available.

6. Accessing Streaming Content

How can I access my Streaming App content?

  • Enter the credentials used during activation to log into the applicable Streaming App on your Rogers Xfinity Entertainment Box, mobile device, tablet or smart TV. If you don’t have the app on your mobile device or tablet, you can download it from your app store.

7. Cancelling or Opting Out

Can I opt out of or cancel my Streaming App subscription through Rogers?

  • If you subscribe to any Streaming Apps or tier upgrades through Rogers as individual add-ons, you may cancel them at any time as per the Rogers/Shaw Terms of Service. Cancellation will take effect on the next billing date for that Streaming App, and you will no longer be subscribed to it through Rogers.
  • If you subscribe to the Streaming Apps in a bundle as an add-on, you will not be able to cancel individual Steaming Apps in the bundle, but you may cancel the bundle add-on at any time as per the Rogers/Shaw Terms of Service. Cancellation will take effect on the next billing date and you will no longer be subscribed to these Streaming Apps through Rogers.
  • If you subscribe to the Streaming Apps as part of a Rogers Xfinity TV or Xfinity Streaming package, you may not unsubscribe from the Streaming Apps individually, but you may change or cancel your Rogers Xfinity TV or Xfinity Streaming package as per the Rogers/Shaw Terms of Service.
  • If you unlink/deactivate your Streaming App account through Rogers, you will still be subscribed through Rogers and the Streaming Apps will still be on your Rogers bill unless you cancel as noted above.
  • If you cancel your Rogers subscription to a Streaming App, any paused billing of any existing monthly subscriptions (or paused existing annual subscriptions with Disney+, if applicable) will automatically resume directly with the Streaming App provider, assuming you did not cancel your subscription with them and assuming that your payment method on file with them is up to date.

8. Rogers Billing Details

What will I see on my Rogers bill?

  • If you subscribe to any Streaming Apps or tier upgrades through Rogers as individual add-ons, you will see them as separate line items on your Rogers bill.
  • If you subscribe to the Streaming Apps in a bundle as an add-on, you will see the bundle as a separate line item on your Rogers bill.
  • If you subscribe to the Streaming Apps as part of a Rogers Xfinity TV or Xfinity Streaming package, you will not see a separate line item on your Rogers bill – the Streaming Apps will be part of your package price and you will see them listed in the package description.

9. Moving or Service Suspension

What will happen to my Streaming Apps when I move or if my other Rogers services are suspended?

  • During a move, as with other home services provided by Rogers, your Streaming Apps and tier upgrade add-ons will be paused and you will lose access to them from the time your Rogers services are paused at your old address until they are reactivated at your new address.
  • During other Rogers service suspensions, Streaming Apps or tier upgrades that you subscribe to through Rogers as individual add-ons will remain active. Streaming Apps that you subscribe to in a bundle as an add-on, or as part of a Rogers Xfinity TV or Xfinity Streaming package will pause during service suspension and resume upon service reactivation.

10. Information Sharing with Streaming App Providers

Does Rogers share my personal information with Streaming App Providers?

  • Rogers does share the email address you use to activate Netflix though Rogers to allow Netflix to send you activation reminders.
  • Otherwise Rogers does not share your name, address, credit or other person information with any Streaming provider.

11. Streaming App Provider Terms and Conditions

Where can I find the terms and conditions of the Streaming App providers?

  • Your use of the Streaming Apps is also subject to any applicable terms and conditions of the Streaming App providers and are agreements between you and them. Those terms and conditions are available at their respective web sites.
