Program Macro Keys on a 5 Button Atlas Remote

The following steps explain how to program macro keys for customizable functions with the 5 button Atlas remote.

  • The Atlas 5-Device remote control includes two macro keys (MUSIC and HD or PERSONAL TV).
  • Macro keys allow you to set up macros to activate certain keys in a specific order.
    • For example, you can set up a key macro to change the channels on your TV, raise or lower the volume, and start recording on your VCR, all with the touch of one key.

To Program a Macro Key

  1. Press and hold [SETUP] until the last selected device key blinks twice.
  2. Press 9 – 9 – 5.
  3. Select the macro key you wish to program and press [MUSIC], [HD], or [PERSONAL TV].
    • Depending on the version of your remote, you may see HD or PERSONAL TV.
  4. Program the key sequence.
    • For example to turn on your TV and raise its volume, press [TV], then [VOL +].
    • Note: you can program up to 15 key pressed into one macro.
  5. Press and hold [SETUP] until the last selected device key blinks twice to save the settings.
    • Repeat these steps to program the other macro key.

To Clear the Macro Key

  1. Press and hold [SETUP] until the last selected device key blinks twice.
  2. Press 9 – 9 – 5.
  3. Select the macro key you wish to clear and press [MUSIC], [HD], or [PERSONAL TV].
    • Depending on the version of your remote, you may see HD or PERSONAL TV.
  4. Press and hold [SETUP] until the last selected device key blinks twice.
