Are you having Smart Home Monitoring Automate installed?

Your mobile device will be needed on your day of installation (without it, the technician will not be able to install your service and your installation date will need to be rescheduled).

Attention, renters!

What do I need to do to prepare for my Professional Installation?

Prior to your installation date:

  • Ensure you’re registered for MyRogers.
  • Download the Smart Home Monitoring app on your mobile device.
    • Not sure if your device is compatible with the app?
  • Ensure that your mobile device is well charged and available for use on the day of your installation.
    • If you signed up for the Smart Home Monitoring Automate package, your mobile device is required to install your service (without it, the technician will not be able to install your service).
  • If you wish to make changes or add additional products to your order before the technician arrives please visit this page and select “Service changes” so we can make sure the technician is fully stocked with the equipment they need to complete your installation.

What can I expect during my Professional Installation?

The technician will:

  • Make sure there is an optimal connection of the internet and WiFi for product configuration
  • Install and ensure proper connection to all the Smart Home Monitoring devices.
  • Give you a tutorial of the Smart Home Monitoring app and, if you signed up for a package with 24/7 Central Monitoring, the Smart Home Monitoring Touchpad
  • Carry a variety of tools and, depending on the work involved, may have to drill holes and turn on and off breakers as safety requires it
  • Strive to be as neat as possible during any internal construction

How long will my Professional Installation take?

Most Professional Installations take from 1 to 8 hours to complete depending on the package being installed, the size and/or construction of your home and the number of Smart Home Monitoring devices being installed.

How do I know when my Professional Installation will take place?

During your transaction, you will be asked to select an ideal date and time slot for your Professional Installation. Our technicians will arrive within two hours of your preferred time.

You can also keep track of your technician’s location using Rogers EnRoute, one of the many tools we’ve developed to save you time. On the day of your installation, Rogers EnRoute lets you know when your technician is on their way and provides real-time updates on their arrival time. I have to work, but my child will be home. Can they let the technician in?

You, or whomever in your home is the Account Holder, must be present for the entire install.
