How to use the Amazon Luna gaming app

Luna is available to Rogers Xfinity Streaming and App TV customers. You’ll need an Amazon account or one of the following subscriptions to access and play games:

• Amazon Prime: Get a rotating selection of games at no additional cost.
• Luna Premium: Access a broader library of games for a monthly fee. Play over 100 games on devices you already own.​
• Ubisoft+: Access iconic games from fan-favorite franchises in their most premium editions. Enjoy new releases on day 1.​
• Jackbox Games: Enjoy over 50 individual party games. Perfect for game nights, each Party Pack is designed to entertain groups of all sizes.

• Play on a wide range of devices including your Rogers Xfinity set-top box or Stream Box, with multi-device compatibility.
• Play easily using your smartphone, a Luna Controller that links directly to the cloud for smoother gameplay, or Bluetooth controllers like Xbox and PlayStation for full controller flexibility.
• Enjoy GameNight with over 25 local multiplayer games designed for social play, where phones act as controllers, so no extra hardware is needed.
• Use Luna Couch to invite friends to join local multiplayer games online, even if they don’t have a Luna subscription.
• Stream your gameplay directly to Twitch for easy broadcasting through built-in integration.
• Browse and discover games by genre, popularity and more, integrated with Alexa and voice search on supported platforms.
• Launch games or search for titles using voice commands, like “Play Fortnite on Luna”.

To access the app, use your voice remote and say “Luna app” or find it in the apps menu using your remote.

1. Open the Luna app.
2. Go into your menu and select My Stuff. You’ll be prompted to sign in. Scan the QR code with your phone or navigate to amazon.ca/code.
3. Enter your Amazon email address or phone number and password.
   • If you have an existing Amazon Prime subscription, sign in to Luna using your Amazon Prime credentials to manage subscriptions, and sync preferences.
4. Enter the code displayed on the Luna app screen and select Continue. Confirm that your account will be connecting to the correct device and select Connect.
5. Return to the Luna app. Your content will load shortly and you’re ready to start playing.

You’ve successfully signed in to the Luna app.

The Luna app works with many controllers, including Xbox Gen 3, PlayStation DualSense 5, Nintendo Switch Pro and Joy Con, as well as the official Luna controller and the Luna controller mobile app. Headsets are not compatible.

If you’re using the Luna app for the first time:

• You’ll see a link to pair your device. This link will take you to your Rogers Xfinity Settings. If you have a Luna controller select, Go to app. If you have a different device, select the link and then select Add controller. You can now open your app and use your controller.

If you’ve used the Luna app before:

1. Select Settings on your Rogers Xfinity Stream Home page and then select Connected Devices.
2. Next to Bluetooth devices, select Manage devices, and then select Add new device.
3. Set your controller into pairing mode, then locate it on the screen and select Connect.
4. Select Add new device.
5. Your controllers will now be paired and stored for future gaming sessions.

If your controller isn’t connecting, you might need to update it. If your Luna controller is paired to the Luna Controller app on mobile, it will automatically update.

You can manage access to select gaming content within the Settings menu of the Amazon Luna app. Parental controls of your Rogers Xfinity Stream Box can be managed from the Settings menu on your device.

To improve your connection and reduce lag or buffering on your Rogers Xfinity Stream Box, try the following tips:

• Place your router in an open area, not hidden behind furniture or walls.
• Move your router closer to your Stream Box and keep it away from other electronic devices.
• Avoid placing your router near other WiFi-enabled devices to reduce interference.
• Use a wired Ethernet connection or consider using WiFi boosters for a stronger signal.
• Press Select on your remote to return to the previous screen.

If your controller isn’t connecting, make sure it’s turned on and that it’s compatible to Luna, and check that your Bluetooth is turned on. Press Select on your remote to open your Bluetooth settings on your Rogers Xfinity Stream Box.

Press Select on your remote to access the Settings menu and simply restart your device.
