About Apple TV subscriptions on your Rogers Xfinity set-top box

What you need

  • Rogers Xfinity TV or Rogers Streaming services
  • Rogers Internet
  • An Apple TV subscription through Rogers (recommended) or Apple
  • An Apple ID (create one during setup or use your existing account)

Find and watch Apple TV content

When you're subscribed and signed in, Apple TV shows will display as Free to Me on Rogers Xfinity TV or Rogers Streaming.

Use your voice remote

  • Say "Apple TV" to open the app
  • Say a show name like "Ted Lasso" or "Severance" to go directly to that content

Launch Apple TV from the Rogers Xfinity TV apps menu

  1. Press the Rogers or Menu button on your remote.
  2. Select Apps from the menu.
  3. Select Apple TV (in the Entertainment row).

Launch Apple TV from the Rogers Streaming apps menu

  1. Press the Home button on your Rogers Streaming voice remote. 
  2. Select Apple TV from the Apps menu.

Sign in to Apple TV

  1. Launch the Apple TV app using your voice remote or from the Apps menu
  2. Select Sign In or Sign Up
    • If you skipped this step, select Settings (gear icon) → Accounts → Sign In.
  3. A pairing code and QR code will appear on your TV
  4. Scan the QR code with your mobile device or visit activate.apple.com and enter the code
  5. Sign in with your Apple ID or create a new one

Subscribe through Rogers

Activate with your existing Apple ID:

When you link your existing Apple ID to your Rogers subscription, billing through Apple pauses automatically. Your profile, watch history and preferences stay the same.

Activate with a new Apple ID:

Don't have an Apple ID? Create one during activation, it takes just a few minutes.

If you have an Apple One subscription, cancel it with Apple before you activate it through Rogers. This will avoid being charged twice.

Make changes:

Manage your Rogers-billed subscription anytime through MyRogers or MyRogers (Shaw). Your subscription appears as a line item on your Rogers bill.

Already subscribed through Apple

When you sign in using your old Apple ID, your payments go to Rogers and your Apple subscription pauses. This keeps everything you love.

View subscription details

Check your subscription status anytime:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Select your name.
  3. Select Subscriptions.
  4. View or manage your Apple TV subscription.

Cancelling your subscription or Rogers services

To cancel your Apple TV subscription:

MyRogers:

  1. Sign in to MyRogers.
  2. Scroll to Manage Subscriptions.
  3. Select Manage under Apple TV.
  4. Select Unsubscribe.
  5. Select Confirm.

MyRogers (Shaw):

  1. Sign in to MyRogers (Shaw).
  2. Select the Subscriptions.
  3. Select Manage next to Apple TV.
  4. Select Cancel Apple TV.
  5. Select Confirm.

If you cancel Rogers services:

Rogers-billed subscription: Your Apple TV subscription ends when Rogers services are cancelled. If you had an Apple subscription that was paused, it'll start again when you sign in with Apple.

Apple-billed subscription: Your subscription continues unchanged. Manage it through the Apple TV app.
