    By Telephone

    To contact us by telephone, call 1-888-ROGERS1 or 611 from a Rogers Wireless phone.

    TV Call Display lets you manage your incoming calls with your Rogers TV remote. When you receive a call, details will be displayed on your TV screen. This feature is included at no extra cost when you subscribe to Rogers Digital TV and Rogers Home Phone with Call Display.

    To activate your Home & Away Voicemail for the first time:

    1. Dial * 9 8 from your home phone.
    2. When prompted, select the mailbox you want to activate:
      • Press 0 for the main mailbox
      • Press 1 for sub mailbox 1
      • Press 2 for sub mailbox 2
      • Press 3 for sub mailbox 3
    3. Enter your temporary password. Your temporary password is the last four digits of your telephone number. For example, if your phone number is 416-555-9876, then your temporary password is 9876.
    4. Press the # button to begin setting up your mailbox.
    5. Enter your new Voicemail password (your new password must be 4-10 digits).
    6. Press 1 to confirm your new password.
    7. Record your first and last name after you hear the tone.
    8. Press # after you've recorded your name, and press 1 to confirm.
    9. Press 1 to record your own personal greeting (you can also press 2 to choose a standard greeting).
    10. Record your personal greeting after you hear the tone.
    11. Press # after you have recorded your personal greeting and listen to the playback.
    12. If you're satisfied with your recording, press 1 to complete your Voicemail activation.
    In this section, you'll find answers to common problems you may experience with yourservice. Using this information, you can quickly solvemost problems yourself. If a problem with yourservice persists, please contact Customer Service.

    If there is at least one new voicemail in any of the mailboxes to be collected, you will be hear a "stuttering" dial tone when you pick up your telephone. Certain telephone will also have a message waiting light or display. Please consult your telephone owner's manual for further information.

    To access your Voicemail:

    1. From home:
      1. Dial * 9 8. You will be notified which mailboxes have messages to collect.
      2. When prompted, select the mailbox you want to access:
        • Press 0 for the main mailbox
        • Press 1 for sub mailbox 1
        • Press 2 for sub mailbox 2
        • Press 3 for sub mailbox 3
        • Press 4 for sub mailbox 4
      3. Enter your password. You are now in the Voicemail Main Menu.
    2. Away from home:
      1. Dial 1.87-ROGERSVM (1-877-643-7786).
      2. When prompted, enter your 10-digit telephone number. You will be notified which mailboxes have messages to collect.
      3. If prompted, select the mailbox you want to access:
        • Press 0 for the main mailbox
        • Press 1 for sub mailbox 1
        • Press 2 for sub mailbox 2
        • Press 3 for sub mailbox 3
        • Press 4 for sub mailbox 4
      4. Enter your password. You are now in the Voicemail Main Menu.
    3. Away from home:
      1. Dial your home telephone number. Your Home Phone will ring.
      2. Once you hear your personal greeting, press 9.
      3. If prompted, select the mailbox you want to access:
        • Press 0 for the main mailbox
        • Press 1 for sub mailbox 1
        • Press 2 for sub mailbox 2
        • Press 3 for sub mailbox 3
        • Press 4 for sub mailbox 4
      4. Enter your password. You are now in the Voicemail Main Menu.
    4. Online:
        • Login to www.rogers.com/vvm
        • Enter your Home Phone Number and Password.
        • If you want to access a sub mailbox, select the right mailbox # in the "Multi User" dropdown box or leave it as "Main" for the main mailbox.
        • After pressing "Sign in", you are now in the Online-Voicemail inbox.

    Problem:

    Cannot place calls.

    Solution:

    1. Make sure that the telephone power adapter is plugged in to a working outlet.
    2. Make sure the telephone line cord is plugged in firmly to a working telephone jack.
    3. Make sure that the dial mode is set to dial tone (refer to your telephone manual).
    4. For cordless phones:
      1. Make sure that the base antenna is fully upright.
      2. Move the handset closer to the base.
      3. Make sure that the handset is properly charged.
    5. Verify that your Home Phone Terminal is functioning properly by checking the LED patterns.
