Activate Pay in Advance Apple iPad to the Wireless Network

The following steps explain how to activate and register for a data plan for prepaid Apple iPads.

Note: Both postpaid and prepaid iPads can be activated to the Apple networks, but only prepaid iPads require registering a data plan from the device itself.

Activate Apple iPad

Launch and check if you have the latest version of iTunes.
- Go to Help.
- Check for Updates.
Turn on the device and ensure there is sufficient battery life.
Connect the iPad to the computer with the USB cable provided.
Apple iTunes should recognize the device and prompt you to begin the activation process, follow the steps to complete the activation.

Register a Data Plan from the Apple iPad

Tap Settings.
Select Cellular Data.
Select View Account.
Select Set Up New Account.
Enter all required information and select a data plan, tap Next when finished.
Read the Terms and Conditions, tap Agree.
Verify all payment information is correct, tap Submit.
Your iPad will prompt with a Data Plan Activated message, you can start using data features immediately.
