An eSIM is a digital SIM that lets you activate a mobile plan without having to use a physical SIM card. If your device supports Dual SIM, you can use an eSIM is to allow two lines or more on it. Learn more about Dual SIM.
How do I get an eSIM?
You can request an eSIM if you are on a Rogers mobile plan and have an eSIM compatible device.
Here’s how:
New line and existing line (switching to an eSIM)
Visit a Rogers store or give us a call to get an eSIM voucher.
When you activate a new line or switch your existing line over the phone, we’ll mail you an eSIM voucher. If you do so at a Rogers store, we’ll give you a printed copy of your voucher.
Hardware Upgrade
Visit a Rogers store to upgrade to an eSIM compatible device and get a printed copy of your eSIM voucher.
How do I activate an eSIM on my device?
Once you receive your voucher (either by mail or printed copy), use the steps below to activate your eSIM:
Apple
iPhone XR, XS, XS Max, SE (Gen 2) and onwards

Go to Settings, then select Cellular.

Select Add eSIM.

Scan the QR code on the front of your eSIM voucher. If scanning does not work, enter the number on the back of your voucher.
Samsung
Samsung Galaxy S21 series onwards, Samsung Galaxy Note series onwards, Samsung Z Fold/Flip4 onwards,

Go to Settings, then select Connections.

Select SIM card manager.

Select Add eSIM.

Scan the QR code on the front of your eSIM voucher. If scanning does not work, enter the number on the back of your voucher.
Google Pixel
Google Pixel 3 onwards

Go to Settings, then select Network & Internet.

Select SIMs.

Select Download a SIM instead.

Select Next then follow the steps on your device.

Select Activate.

Scan the QR code on the front of your eSIM voucher. If scanning does not work, enter the number on the back of your voucher.
If you switched your existing line to an eSIM, you will need to update the SIM card number on your MyRogers account. See Activate or Change SIM Card for steps on how to do this.
What if I lose my eSIM activated device?
Use the steps below to report your lost or stolen eSIM activated device:

Sign in to your MyRogers account

Select the phone number of the lost device

Scroll to My Device

Select Lost or stolen device and follow the steps.
After completing the steps above, you can visit a Rogers store to explore your options for a new device and get an eSIM voucher.
